This ridgeline pairs Jinshanling’s characteristic watchtowers with the quieter western Simatai side. You can take time for photography, but the trail still involves frequent steps and uneven surfaces.
Expect a substantial outdoor walk rather than a flat sightseeing path. Choose supportive shoes and dress for wind and sun on the exposed ridge.
Compare Silver, Gold and Platinum carefully: vehicle, guide, meals and admission coverage differ by package. Confirm your selected inclusions before paying.
Jinshanling takes its name from the Greater and Lesser Jinshan ranges. Its mix of preserved masonry and original features is particularly rewarding for travelers interested in how the Ming Wall was built.
West Simatai is the western side of the Simatai section, separated from its eastern side by a valley. Its surviving watchtowers and more weathered surfaces create a striking finish to the ridge walk.
